Starting your own home business has never been easier, thanks to the world wide web. With the help of the internet you have access to people from all over the globe, right from your own home. While there are many types of businesses you can start, affiliate marketing is one of the best. It can give you an extremely large income and all you have to do is learn some new skills. If you can read and write you can have a very successful online business.
To help you build your business as quickly as possible and avoid the potential pitfalls, I’ve compiled a list of some affiliate marketing tips:
1. While I know you’re probably anxious to get your website set up and get started, you’d be better off taking a little time first to learn how to do it properly. There are many places online where you can learn every thing you need to know about affiliate marketing. You’re best bet would be to invest a little time and money into an internet marketing course. Learn how to do it, then implement what you’ve learned. Even though it may seem like you’re having to wait before you set up your business and start making money, in the long run you’ll be saving yourself some time if you learn how to do it first, before jumping in.
2. Don’t get sidetracked with all the ridiculous promises online. You will probably get dozens of emails every day promising you that you can make money in no time and with no effort. It’s not true and if you spend all of your time jumping from one ’sure thing’ to another you’ll never make any money. Don’t fall victim to the hype. Just build your business nice and steady and tune out all the other noise.
3. Until you know how to do it properly, steer clear of using Pay Per Click. The search engines are constantly changing the rules when it comes to PPC. There really is a very steep learning curve and you can waste hundreds or even thousands of dollars if you don’t know what you’re doing. There are people on line who make a living doing nothing but keeping up with all the PPC changes and teaching other people how to use PPC techniques. Make some money first, then take some of that money and invest it in a PPC course before you jump in.
4. Build a list using an autoresponder. Up to 98% of the people who visit your site won’t buy anything and they won’t be back. You can get a bigger share of this traffic by having an email list that they can sign up for. That way you can build trust and rapport with them over a period of time. You’ll get more than one chance to convert them into paying customers.
Making money online with affiliate marketing is one of the best home businesses you can start. It’s quick and easy to start, though you will need to learn some new skills. If you’re willing to invest a little time and effort the rewards can be huge. Just use these affiliate marketing tips as a starting point. Continue to learn all you can and be willing to use what you’ve learned. If you do, you can make virtually as much money as you want.

I must confess that in recent months I haven’t given Twitter the time that I used to give it.
Why?
Well, even with my 1000s of followers, it made little difference to my bottom line when I consider all the hours that I put into updating it, even with the occasional automatic updating software.
I know that many of my subscribers have felt the same way. Just work out how many hours you spend messing with Twitter and see what you get back in sales or traffic to your website.
Now, in more recent months, I’ve been hearing about a piece of kit called ‘Twittollower’ which is an online system for getting you followers very quickly. Yes, yes, I know what you’re thinking, the same as I did when my inbox started filling up with offers to go and read about the software pre-launch, I thought, NO! not again … more Twitter stuff that doesn’t work.
Twitter began getting very funny about people who would follow others by the truckload hoping that they would follow back. I don’t blame them either.
====================
http://martynbrown.com/tweet.htm
====================
The problem was, the followers were not targeted very accurately to your niche and all you ended up with were loads of followers who weren’t really interested in you or your products.
So, seeing Twittollower launched on 1st Feb 2010 made me wonder what all the fuss was about, after all, it was just another ‘quick fix’ to get followers, wasn’t it?
I decided to sign into it after a regular student of mine gave me his honest opinion after I asked him what it was really like. There was I waiting for him to tell me that it was crap when he started to give me the run down of how each day went by with a noticeable difference to his sign-ups and response rates after posting to the followers that Twittollower had gained him.
Unique visitors from Twitter were appearing on his statistics for his blogs and websites.
He was even able to install a plugin to his Wordpress blog that automatically sent his posts to Twitter in order to have something for his followers to read and also have links for them to follow.
The good thing is, you simply don’t have to look for followers, the Twittollower system find them for you based on your niche.
All you do is open a brand new Twitter account, do nothing with it yet, open a Twittollower account, follow three simple steps and leave it.
====================
http://martynbrown.com/tweet.htm
====================
You still make the usual posts to Twitter but your followers will come in their droves.
I decided to sign up on behalf of Internet Marketing Bugle readers to see if it was worthwhile before they invested in it themselves.
What was the result?
Fascinating, to say the least.
People were following me immediately and, what’s more, taking an interest in my posts.
Each hour the number of followers increased.
24hrs on and my following figure stands at 120 and I didn’t do a thing as Twittollower did it all for me, sending traffic to my site, non stop.
I have taken screen shots to prove to people that this really was the case.
====================
http://martynbrown.com/tweet.htm
====================
I have made a few tweets, of course. Although they have been mostly generated by a plugin on my WordPress blog that tweets an announcement that I’ve made a new post. You’re shown this plugin by the nice people at Twittollower, it’s free to install and use.
Finally, if you’re thinking that you could do what Twittollower does, only for free, well, here are two alternative views;
The first is that while you can add followers for free, adding over 130 per day would be both mind-numbingly boring and time-consuming. I certainly wouldn’t consider it a good use of my time and I’m sure most effective marketers would feel the same.
Free has its place, but not if getting free costs you in other ways.
The second view is that you have to remember that Twittollower guarantee to get you 2000+ new followers each month.
If you think of each follower as a sales lead, that means each lead has about a 3 cents acquisition cost. And that is outrageously cheap!
Of course, once you have them, you have them forever, so you pay to get them once, but can profit from them over and over again.
The launch price is in operation up to the 5th February only, so get in right now before the price rise.

I’m going to earn £1000.00 this month from my Internet marketing. How do I know?
Because I’m running a membership site where I know how many members I’ve got and I know what they pay each month.
Yes, a few cancel but more join, so figures can pretty well be guaranteed each month.
Internet marketing can be a very hit and miss affair, especially if you just rely on affiliate income or something like AdSense where your income is so variable, you just don’t know where you are.
To get a guaranteed income from a membership site you should have a decent topic where you need to live and breathe your business. Just as long as you plan ahead and know where you’re going.
Once you have members using the site and interacting with each other you’re away. Keeping them there is hard work, to say the least, but with enough content, interactivity and new, updated videos, webinars and downloads etc., it should keep the site busy.
So, how much can you earn with your own membership site? Well, if you have just 1000 members and you are charging £100 per year for each member, you will be earning £100,000 a year.
If that sounds too good to be true, just think about it, you could have multiple levels of membership and charge even more for your ‘premium’ or advanced content. Imagine that, earning over £100,000 a year from your very own membership site.
You obviously need to find members in order to get started. If you already have a list, then that’s great, you’ll have a head start. But to start with, you’ll need to attract the type of person you want to be a member.
You will need to draw attention to your website in every way possible so that people know you exist and ensure that you are supplying the sort of information that they wouldn’t mind paying for. Build your list of subscribers from traffic to your site in order to get the eventual membership site off to a flying start.
By targeting your potential member, you will build your list more quickly. Ensure that your niche has enough interest to support your products and competitors. By choosing a market that will realisticly support you when 10% of the market are with you, is a good guide to stick to.
The most important thing is your choice of topic. As well as being relatively broad in appeal in order to attract people it must not be too broad so it gets ‘lost’ with the competitors trying for the same numbers.
If your niche is too broad, you can ‘drill down’ to a smaller part of that niche so that there aren’t so many competing. Obviously not too low so you haven’t got enough people interested in it but lower than trying to spread yourself too thinly and trying to be all things for all people.
Once you’ve got your membership started, you’ll need to see what content will keep them happy … what would they pay for?
If you’re very knowledgable about your topic, you need to keep it fresh, interesting and unique in order to give it value and, again, so that members won’t mind paying monthly for it.
Presenting your content in ways that will be consumed favourably by all is a key factor so, using video and webinars etc. will keep them coming back for more.
Just having heaps of things to read or download isn’t enough now-a-days, you need more. Making the content easily accessable is also very imporant as, not finding content, is really frustrating for members.
A dead forum is no good to anyone, your chat or message posting forum must be kept alive and buzzing with activity. In this way your own members keep it interesting so you, the site owner, doesn’t have to drive yourself crazy by keeping up to date … the members coming back to read replies and answers to their questions will keep it up to date.
Finally, don’t overcharge for the content. What are they getting for their hard earned money?
Your prices have to be comfortable for your members or they’ll soon cancel after a few months … make it affordable.
You will get the regular continuity of income from your loyal members just as long as you give them what they want. This means that you can plan ahead in your Internet marketing business knowing that you’re going to earn that £100,000 each year.
Many of the members of Nick-James.com are beginners but it doesn’t take long to build a list of subscribers and, then, to start a membership site for them once the numbers grow really isn’t that difficult as long as you are dedicated and focus on your content.

… in Less Than an Hour…
That Will Make You Money For Months To Come
Having an article published is one of the fastest and easiest ways to build your credibility as an industry expert. At the end of the each article you are given the opportunity to gain free exposure for your online business or affiliate program.
More and more people are realising the true power of having their articles published in eZines and Newsletters. And the good news is nearly all the webmasters with auto-responders and publishers of eZines are crying out for well written content to send to their subscribers.
It’s a little bit like the traditional magazine world. “Editors love filling the pages of the magazines with adverts, but find it a real pain in the butt to add any solid editorial content.” Now ain’t that a shame!
In this article we are going to go over the key elements of writing a successful article and how to get it noticed by publishers. We will also go over how to turn an article into an unstoppable profit generator, even if you don’t have your own product or service. That’s right; you don’t need your own product or service to take advantage of this golden opportunity.
Research Before Choosing A Topic
When most writers write their articles, they only write about what they want to write about. This is not an effective way to write an article. The most effective and recommended way to write an article is to write one on a topic that your targeted market is already interested in. To find out what kind of article your targeted market is interested in, will require some research.
You should always do the research before you actually pick a topic to write about. When researching for your article you should try going to forums that cover your targeted market. Observe to see what they are talking about and even looking for. The best approach to use, is to find a problem, then write an article that resolves the problem.
By using this approach you are showing your dedication as a problem solver. When you help people resolve their problems and/or endeavours, you will strengthen your credibility and then the profits will soon follow.
Article Title
Choosing the title of your article will be one of the most important decisions you will make and will determine whether or not it will be read. You need to take your time, when it comes time for you to select an article title and it will require you to do some brainstorming.
Your article title should reach out and grab the reader’s attention and compel them to want to read it immediately. The best thing to do when trying to come up with an article title is to write the biggest benefit that your reader will receive while they are reading it. The biggest benefit may not be the exact article title, but it is a good place to start.
When I choose a title for an article I write down several before I initially select a one. So don’t choose just one title, write down several different ones, get the feel of the word variations, and tweak the weak areas.
Content
Most of the articles out there are nothing more than an abstracted sales pitch or material that does not contain any valuable information, therefore is useless to the reader. The best way to get your article read, is to educate the reader. Any good article will be educational to their readers and have some sort of value. If you can’t sell your article, then don’t publish it.
If you publish a poorly written article, then people will not read it. This will have an impact on your credibility and on any future articles you publish, so do it right the first time by educating them.
Promote
If you want to make some cash with your article, then at the end of it, will be the time to promote your product, service, or affiliate program. Make sure that the product, service, or affiliate program is relevant to the article though. (you’d be surprised at how many people get this wrong.)
Not sure, let me give you an example, I previously wrote an article that was entitled “How Choosing The Wrong Email Format To Broadcast Your Message… Could Mean Disaster” (http://nick-james.com). In this article I discussed the advantages and disadvantages of text and html email formats. At the end of the article I presented an auto-responder that is capable of performing both formats, if the reader decides to purchase the product mentioned, I receive a sales commission.
If you promote a product, service, or affiliate program that corresponds with an article, your chances of getting a click through is very high. If you don’t have a product or service that corresponds with the article, then I recommend finding an affiliate program that does.
Sales referrals generated through affiliate programmes like these can continue to pay the author for well over a year after the article was originally written.
And it all starts with writing between 300 and 800 words. Think you can do it?
For some extra tips about writing your first article for profit and promotion take a look at my recent article “I Have Nothing To Say.” (http://nick-james.com)

Amazon often offers 90% and better reductions, yet it directs people to other areas, sending them to higher profit margin products instead.
Yet there’s a geeky way to generate pages that list all these deals. All you need do is fiddle with Amazon web addresses (URLs) to bring up lists of knock-down prices. The trick may sound like something out of Spooks, but it’s legal and easy to do.
When searching for treasure, don’t just look at the first page of bargains, try a few. Do bear in mind that this system is a bit of fun and is not infallible, ie, sometimes it throws up the odd 50% off item when you asked for 70% off and up. Just scan past these to see if there are any other bargains. And don’t assume just because its discounted its a good buy. Filter out items without free delivery Do be aware that not all items have free delivery, so just do the search and then click ‘free supersaver delivery’ on the left. Only items with free delivery will show, and Marketplace sellers where delivery isn’t free will be excluded from the search. Before we show you how to create them, if you’re not techie, here are some popular web addresses we made earlier:

11 days to send tax self-assess forms – but many must register online TODAY
Those who don’t file their tax self-assessment forms for the 2008/09 tax year by 11.59pm on 31 Jan (a Sunday) face an initial £100 penalty plus interest on late payments. Here’s an urgent Q&A:
-
Q. Who needs to file a return? A. Those whose tax is deducted by their employer usually DON’T need to submit a form. Yet the rule’s simple: if you’ve been sent a self-assessment form you must submit it. Those who haven’t been sent one but have any extra income from self-employment, some investments or savings (as a higher rate taxpayer), have a duty to tell the revenue (0845 900 0444).
-
Q. Why may I need register TODAY? A. The deadline for filing by post was 31 October, so to avoid a fine you must file online. Yet if you’ve never filed online you need to register, and it can take seven working days to get your code, so do it ASAP. To register, go to the HMRC website and read the Last chance filing online MSE news story. There’s no need to re-register if you’ve previously filed a web-based return.
-
Q. What if I I’m owed tax BACK? A. You may be due £100s of tax back if, for example, you’ve only worked part of the year, or are a non taxpayer who paid tax on savings interest. See the Revenue’s refund forms. For the self-employed, remember you only pay tax on profits after legit expenses, so claim back all you’re entitled to (see the Revenue’s allowable expenses).
-
Q. Where can I get free help? A. You can ask the revenue for advice, yet there are also a host of charities and agencies that give help completing forms, especially for those on lower incomes. See the Free Tax Help note.

Online marketing and article marketing aren’t an identical thing, because online marketing is really a broad concept with many smaller concepts beneath it, and article marketing is among those smaller facets of online marketing. The reason why these two concepts go hang in hand is because no online marketing campaign is complete without some type of article marketing. Online marketing and article marketing go hand in hand because using articles to market yourself, your website or your affiliate products is absolutely vital in creating an entire online marketing solution.
You will find numerous different kinds of online marketing that it is possible to benefit from to have their name on the market. However, most forms of online marketing have costs of some sort, because advertising isn’t free. That is, advertising isn’t free unless you are advertising through article marketing. This unique type of marketing was popular long before ecommerce was a great thing. For as long as mass print methods have been available, businesses have been marketing themselves through article creation, by offering something of value to print medium like widely read newspapers in exchange for a byline or a small advertisement. When it come to ecommerce and online marketing, article marketing is a superb means for getting information on the market and creating powerful links back to your website or affiliate products.
In terms of article marketing, you will find numerous benefits and features to think about.
- This type of marketing creates powerful links from popular websites back to your website or affiliate products. The more links you’ve got coming to your website from other sources, the more powerful your website will be in search engine page listings like Google.
- By providing value in the articles that you create, you’ll be establishing yourself as a trusted authority on the keywords, niches or subjects that you are writing about. When readers know they can count on you for real, honest information, they’ll keep coming back for more.
- By adding a byline or resource box to your content you will be giving potential customers a way to contact you after reading your valuable content. Not only will this create powerful links, but it will also help connect additional traffic to your website that you would not normally be capable of get.
- By creating articles optimized for search engines you’ll be improving your overall traffic and even your overall page rank by submitting to content sites with high page ranks and authority.
For these reasons, it is absolutely vital that article marketing be a facet of any online marketing plan that you assembled. While there may be a number of different ways to market your internet site, one of the most powerful is to use valuable, easy to read article content with a call to action for readers who appreciate your work to visit your website for more information, products, a newsletter, et cetera and so forth.
